    Description

    Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is seeking a skilled AP/AR Specialist to join a growing company in South Reno. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining financial integrity. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented and organized, with a strong background in accounting functions and the ability to support a dynamic work environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process vendor invoices with accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to company policies.

    • Perform three-way match verification by matching purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices.

    • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments.

    • Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies promptly to maintain strong supplier relationships.

    • Manage accounts receivable by generating and distributing customer invoices in line with company policies.

    • Record cash receipts and apply payments to customer accounts accurately.

    • Monitor aging of accounts receivable and follow up with clients to ensure timely collections.

    • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to address billing disputes or payment issues.

    • Perform monthly reconciliations of AP and AR subledgers with the general ledger.

    • Support month-end closing activities and provide documentation required for audits.

    Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.

     

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable roles.

    • Proficiency with accounting software systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms, as well as Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.

    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.

    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
