Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth financial operations, including managing accounts, reconciling transactions, and supporting customer inquiries. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise within the government sector.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the real estate and business licensing teams to ensure accurate financial management.

• Perform detailed reconciliations of accounts to maintain accuracy and compliance.

• Enter and manage data efficiently across various accounting systems.

• Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

• Analyze billing transactions to identify and address discrepancies.

• Monitor and process accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

• Maintain accurate and organized records for all accounting functions.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to prepare reports and manage data effectively. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation.

• Familiarity with general accounting practices and procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Effective communication skills for customer support and team collaboration.

• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
