Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This is a long-term contract opportunity for an individual with experience in managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and providing exceptional customer support. The role involves close collaboration with the real estate and business licensing teams to ensure accurate and efficient handling of accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage billing transactions, analyze issues, and provide timely resolutions.

• Enter and maintain data in accounting systems with high attention to detail.

• Collaborate with the real estate and business licensing teams to support financial operations.

• Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns.

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and report financial data.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all accounting functions.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation as required. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong understanding of billing functions and account reconciliation.

• Proficiency in general accounting principles and practices.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial management.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and customer support capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
