Description We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a large employee base while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. The position offers a hybrid/remote work environment and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to payroll operations in a structured and efficient setting.

Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for over 1,400 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.

• Review and approve employee timecards, including manual adjustments for adjunct staff as needed.

• Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies, such as missed timecards and system approval issues.

• Execute full-cycle payroll processing with minimal supervision, leveraging prior experience.

• Perform routine data entry and payroll-related tasks during non-payroll weeks.

• Address payroll-related inquiries from staff members and provide clear, timely resolutions.

• Utilize Excel and UKG Pro software to manage payroll operations efficiently.

• Collaborate with the corporate controller to ensure smooth payroll workflows and reporting.

• Maintain an organized and systematic approach in a business casual work environment. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field.

• Proficiency in UKG Pro and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of full-cycle payroll processes.

• Experience managing payroll for over 500 employees.

• Ability to handle bi-monthly payroll schedules effectively.

• Skilled in resolving payroll discrepancies and managing timecard adjustments.

• Excellent communication skills for addressing employee payroll inquiries.

• Detail-oriented and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
