Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations, including reconciliations, billing analysis, and customer service. This opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking a stable role within the government sector.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the real estate and business licensing teams to ensure accurate financial processing.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain accurate records.

• Handle data entry tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.

• Analyze billing transactions and resolve discrepancies to ensure smooth operations.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions effectively.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and report financial data.

• Monitor and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation.

• Proficiency in general accounting practices and procedures.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Strong communication skills for customer support and team collaboration.

• Ability to analyze financial transactions and identify discrepancies.

• Experience in working within government or similar industries is a plus.
