Description We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will contribute to critical financial processes, including data preparation, analysis, and quality assurance, while working closely with balance sheet data and financial models. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the banking industry and sharpen your analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and populate balance sheet assumptions using Excel to support financial analysis.

• Extract and clean data from federal filings and client-provided call reports.

• Load prepared data into financial models and ensure the accuracy of the results.

• Conduct comprehensive quality checks to validate data and model outputs.

• Review financial data for consistency and ensure it meets reporting standards.

• Utilize advanced Excel functions, including pivots, IF formulas, and matching indexes, for data analysis.

• Collaborate with team members to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Ensure financial deliverables are ready for submission and meet organizational requirements.

• Support auditing processes by providing accurate and well-organized financial data.

• Assist in budget planning and capital management tasks as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and formulas.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems and financial tools.

• Basic understanding of balance sheet components and financial modeling.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Experience with data mining techniques and CRM systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of accrual accounting and budgeting processes.

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.

• Prior experience in auditing or capital management is advantageous but not required.
