    We are recruiting for a Bilingual Weight Master position in Corning, CA. This is a temp to permanent opportunity!

     

    The Weighmaster is responsible for accurately weighing, recording, and managing the flow of incoming and outgoing materials, including raw nuts, ingredients, and finished products within the nut processing facility. This role ensures compliance with all relevant weighing regulations, food safety standards, and company procedures. The Weighmaster also provides administrative and customer service support related to weighing operations. The position pay rate is $18-$22

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Operating and Maintaining Weighing Equipment:**

    + Operating truck and hopper scales to weigh agricultural products such as produce, grains, and other bulk materials.

    + Ensuring the accuracy and calibration of weighing equipment according to established standards.

    + Performing routine checks and minor adjustments to the scales to ensure proper functionality.

    + **Accurate Weighing and Recording:**

    + Accurately weighing and recording the weight of incoming and outgoing agricultural commodities.

    + Issuing official Weighmaster Certificates that document the weight, measure, or count of the commodity.

    + Maintaining meticulous records of all weighing transactions, including weights, dates, and related information.

    + **Compliance and Regulation:**

    + Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations pertaining to weights and measures in agriculture.

    + Familiarity with the Measurement Standards Act and other applicable regulations, such as those related to livestock weighing, if applicable.

    + **Customer Service and Communication:**

    + Providing excellent customer service to drivers, farmers, and other stakeholders involved in the weighing process.

    + Addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to weighing procedures and documentation.

    + Coordinating with logistics staff and regulatory agencies as needed.

    + **Safety and Environment:**

    + Adhering to safety precautions and procedures while working with weighing equipment and large vehicles.

    + Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at the scale house.

    + **Reporting and Administration:**

    + Preparing and filing daily tickets and other necessary documentation.

    + Generating reports related to agricultural product tonnage, charges, and other relevant data.

    + Assisting with administrative tasks and providing support as required.
