    The Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) in the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking applicants for a full time (1.00 FTE) Infectious Disease Clinical Educator position with special interest in providing care to immunocompromised patients. This position is anticipated to start in January 2026. The expected faculty rank for this position is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. The University of Maryland School of Medicine is the first public and fifth oldest medical school in the United States. On the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus, the School of Medicine serves as the foundation for a large academic health center that combines medical education, biomedical research, patient care, and community service. The School of Medicine is ranked 8th among all public medical schools in research productivity. Faculty of the ID Division provides care for patients at our flagship academic center, University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) as well as in our University-affiliated community hospital, University of Maryland Midtown (UM Midtown) Campus Hospital. The successful candidate will provide inpatient consultative services and ambulatory ID care primarily taking care of immunocompromised hosts (Cancer and Transplant ID) as well as general ID and HIV care at UMMC and UM Midtown Campus. They will have demonstrated interest and abilities in all areas of clinical and academic practice, including evidence-based practice, engage in clinical, teaching, and research activities. The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $156,837 (min) and $213,900 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range may not include all components of the Infectious Diseases compensation program or pay from participation in Infectious Diseases variable compensation program. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
