Job Title: Production Planner
Job Description
This position is responsible for managing the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure deadlines are met and production downtime is minimized. The role involves maintaining the production schedule, overseeing inventory, and managing the ordering of tooling, plates, and supplies. Additionally, the position supports job creation, item creation, quoting, and purchasing as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain the production schedule effectively.
+ Provide customer-focused service and adapt to changes in the production shop order schedule driven by customer demand.
+ Review manufacturing orders to ensure all components are available.
+ Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
+ Coordinate with the supply chain to ensure the availability of required materials.
+ Enter manufacturing orders to meet customer demands.
+ Track production progress and identify potential bottlenecks or delays.
+ Participate in team projects and continuous process improvements.
+ Plan ahead to minimize downtime and control costs.
+ Identify potential errors or problems and take prompt corrective action.
+ Communicate effectively with managers, team members, and suppliers.
+ Provide solutions to departmental and company challenges.
+ Complete assigned tasks and projects.
+ Correct and stop any dangerous activity that may cause damage to the product, process, personnel, or environment.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in schedule planning and production planning.
+ Proficiency in production scheduling and inventory management.
+ Knowledge of SAP and ERP systems.
+ Familiarity with logistics and inventory control.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
+ 6+ months experience in production planning.
+ 6+ months experience with inventory management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with quoting and estimates is preferred.
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum of 2 years in the production process and job preparation.
+ Customer service-driven approach.
+ Planner, supply chain, and purchasing experience.
+ Willingness to work overtime and a positive attitude towards job and company.

Work Environment
The work environment is a printing production atmosphere, operating Monday to Thursday from 7am to 5pm and Friday half-days OR Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Paola, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
