Tooling Technician-Night And Day Shift-$27/hr
Job Description
The Tooling Technician will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and tool drawings/designs to machine and create spare parts, as well as implementing changes on molds and tools. This role involves troubleshooting, solving, and performing repairs and retrofit work on molds and tooling. Additionally, the technician will conduct mold repair and troubleshooting activities during production runs, as well as perform regular preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
+ Interpret blueprints and tool drawings/designs for machining and spare parts.
+ Implement changes on molds and tools.
+ Troubleshoot and solve mold and tooling issues.
+ Perform mold and tooling repairs and retrofit work.
+ Conduct mold repair and troubleshooting activities during production runs.
+ Perform regular preventative maintenance.
+ Repair hot runner systems, valve-operated gating systems, water leaks, and damages.
+ Fabricate jigs, assemble fixtures, and manufacture parts for auxiliary equipment and presses.
+ Perform standard work and update EAM accordingly.
+ Perform insert and version changes on molds.
+ Participate in mold move calls.
+ Work safely and efficiently using required personal protective equipment.
+ Actively participate in Continuous Improvement, promoting and sustaining CI, 5S, and STW activities.
+ Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
The role is based in a large, spacious manufacturing environment where employees must be comfortable working with a hot plastic smell and high noise levels. The work schedule follows a 2x2x3 pattern with shifts from 5 am to 5 pm and 5 pm to 5 am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
