    Job Title: Master Machinist

    Job Description

    Join a precision gear and bearing manufacturing and repair company in NW Houston as a Master Machinist. You will operate manual mills, manual lathes, CNC mills, and CNC lathes to repair stainless steel gears and bearings. Expertise in reading blueprints and maintaining the tightest tolerances of +/- 0.0001 is required.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate manual mills and lathes, as well as CNC mills and lathes.

    + Repair stainless steel gears and bearings.

    + Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precision in manufacturing.

    + Maintain tightest tolerances of +/- 0.0001.

    + Work with exotic materials using manual machining techniques.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years' experience in manual machining (Mill & Lathe).

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints.

    + Ability to hold tight tolerances of +/- 0.0001.

    + Experience machining exotic materials.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with manual Bridgeport machines.

    + Knowledge of gear and lathe operations.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a small, clean, and climate-controlled manufacturing shop specializing in precision bearings and gear boxes. The facility operates on a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed. Standard working hours are 7 AM to 3 PM for 8-hour shifts, 5 AM to 3 PM for 10-hour shifts, and 5 AM to 5 PM for 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be flexible and open to working 12-hour shifts as required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of 77041 Houston, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
