    Description

    Position Summary:

    The Director, Artistry & Events, N.A. leads the development of North America’s Senior & National Artists (SANAs), aligning artistry with commercial priorities. This role oversees all NA Artistry Programs and Events, manages staff, assets, and budgets, and collaborates cross-functionally to drive artistry excellence and brand elevation across channels.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Employee Management & Development

    •Guide SANAs in supporting training, events, and brand initiatives.

    •Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback.

    •Foster a motivating, performance-driven environment.

    •Address underperformance per MAC policy and ensure a safe work setting.

    2. Employee Growth & Training

    •Identify SANA training needs and support ongoing development.

    •Promote customer service excellence and brand standards.

    •Drive consistency in skill development, communication, and artistry.

    •Collaborate on training agendas and lead content delivery.

    •Manage SANA mentoring and ensure timely submission of training/event reports.

    3. Artistry Programs & Events

    •Oversee Artist Skills Certification and track progress against goals.

    •Coordinate Advanced Certification and off-site training with Sales and Edu Ops.

    •Partner with Edu, Retail, and Marketing to execute engaging events and launches.

    •Build retail relationships to ensure optimal event space and execution.

    •Lead “Events in a Box,” MAC Creator program, and manage event ROI.

    •Create innovative event concepts and track artist performance metrics.

    4. Financial Accountability

    •Manage SANA and equipment budgets; oversee expense reporting and asset tracking.

    •Ensure fiscal responsibility and security of training resources.

    5. Marketing, Media & Awareness

    •Direct SANA participation in media, fashion, and awareness events.

    •Guide SANA look creation and act as spokesperson when needed.

    6. Research & Development

    •Serve on the MAC Colour Team; contribute product and concept ideas.

    •Liaise between field and product planning to elevate retail insights.

    •Evaluate new products and inform development.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    10+ years of Makeup Artistry experience required; professional makeup certification preferred.

    Skills:

    + Mastery in makeup application, public speaking, training, and customer service

    + Experience coaching individuals and teams

    + Strong communication and presentation skills

    + Creative approach to training and program development

    Pay Range:

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is **$120,550.00** to **$208,200.00** . Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan. In addition,
