The position works under the direction of the Admissions Manager to support the Admissions department through training coordination, schedule management, operational support, while acting as a departmental resource. This role helps ensure efficient patient access services and high-quality patient interactions.
Job Duties
• Train and onboard new Patient Access staff and provide ongoing support and education to existing team members. *
• Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for departmental procedures. *
• Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate departmental coverage. *
• Serve as the first point of contact for schedule changes and time-off coordination. *
• Provide coverage for staff shortages, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, as needed. *
• Act as a resource for team members regarding departmental policies, procedures, and systems. *
• Monitor staff performance and provide informal coaching in alignment with departmental goals. *
• Assist with issue resolution and escalate concerns to the Patient Access Manager when necessary. *
• Support departmental goals and continuous improvement efforts. *
• Perform all standard Patient Access functions as needed (e.g., registration, insurance verification). *
• Must complete all required training and attend all mandatory meetings. *

Required Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of Patient Access or related healthcare front-office experience.
• 1 year of experience in a lead or training role.
Preferred Education and Experience
• Associate degree in health care administration or related field.
