The Maintenance Janitorial Technician supports operation, inspections, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in 56-unit apartment building. They perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, appliances etc., as well as maintaining overall building cleanliness of common areas. They are responsible for providing written reports/logs to the Building Manager to assist in the reliable and efficient operation of base building and critical environment functions.
As part of the essential functions of this role, the Maintenance Janitorial Technician:
+ Reviews building operations, preventative maintenance schedules, energy management systems and equipment status
+ Completes and provides daily work order status updates through computerized work order system; collaborates with the Facilities Assistant and Facilities Manager to resolve problems delaying completion of work orders; communicates through computerized work order system
+ Maintains properties professional appearance in all areas including interior and exterior spaces, engineering spaces, equipment rooms, apartments and common areas
+ Completes general maintenance and minor repair work including but not limited to: doors, windows, toilet seats, toilet flushes, flooring, tap washers and interior and exterior painting and sealing
+ Inspects building and apartments for adequate heating, lighting and ventilation, and insure that property are properly cleaned, in good order and in good working condition
Qualified candidate : will have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have a minimum of two years of applicable working experience, with at least one year in residential building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical and HVAC; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential

Required Education and Experience: (example) Bachelor’s degree with one year of qualifying experience OR Associate degree with two years of qualifying experience
