    Job description: In collaboration with other management personnel in the laboratory matrix structure, this professional is responsible for operational management and leadership of hospital clinical and pathology laboratory services. Provides a high level of technical and leadership knowledge and application of that knowledge to testing and clinical relevance. Functions in a highly self-directed manner, and exhibits effective communication and advanced problem solving skills. Works in conjunction with the laboratory director to ensure effective, data-driven performance in laboratory service, quality, personnel and financial metrics. Leads the integration of laboratory services within the hospital environment, manages laboratory relationships with other hospital services, manages laboratory personnel, maintains an understanding of IT systems and data sources associated with laboratory services.

    Qualifications:

    In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

    + 5 years of MT or MLT experience required

    + Bachelors degree in in chemical, physical, clinical lab/medical technology, Health Care Administration, or equivalent area pertaining to the laboratory required

    + MLS with ASCP certification, or MT/MLT with ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification or specialty ASCP certification required

    + 3 years hospital supervision and managent, preferred
