Qualifications

+ A High School diploma or the equivalent is required

+ A valid motor vehicle driver's license with a proven safe driving record is required

+ The ability to obtain a CDL\-B driver's license and a fork truck driver's license is also required

+ Other requirements include: mechanical aptitude, manual and finger dexterity, the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and learn various computer systems, including MAXIMO

+ Physical requirements include the ability to: push/pull 50 to 100 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs

Benefits

+ The salary range for this position starts at Step 1 \($32\.82\) and progresses in accordance with the union contract

Responsibilities

+ The Stockhandler orders, receives, records, stores, prepackages, issues, and maintains adequate stock of material, equipment and supplies in the substation maintenance storeroom

+ In addition, the employee may deliver materials to field locations and prepare materials for specific jobs

+ Other duties include assisting with environmental issues, maintaining shop and yard cleanliness, performing weekly material inventories, and other duties as assigned

+ Normal working hours for this position will be from 7:00am until 3:30 p\.m\. Monday through Friday unless otherwise assigned

+ Individual filling this position will be expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime and will have storm restoration and emergency assignments

+ Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role

+ If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment

+ This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location
