We are looking for an amazing Manager, Technical Accounting to fill this role, which is based in our Doral office. You will lead training and guidance for the Technical Revenue Accounting team to ensure accurate, timely reporting and compliance with corporate policies and GAAP. Build cross-functional relationships, analyzes financial data, and drives process improvements through innovative problem-solving.

Responsibilities
+ Oversees and manages month end close activity for the Technical Accounting team (including pre/post cruise revenue and costs).
+ Participates in preparation of and communication of month end management reporting/analysis.
+ Leads balance sheet reconciliation review and process development. Prepares schedules and responses for financial related questions from management/auditors
+ Ensures revenue related workflows/systems (POLAR, OCEAN, ShipStar and others as appropriate) are continually providing correct and timely output.
+ Focusing on continued development, increased efficiencies, and continued assessment of controls.
+ Drives the development of workflow and system enhancement and design management reporting ensuring that appropriate controls are incorporated into project design and that proper testing of related system revisions is performed to prevent system and processing errors.
+ Coordinates efforts across groups at the beginning of the project to build inclusive solutions when multiple departments are impacted, keeping director informed of progress and engages director to help resolve significant issues / bottlenecks.
+ Drives the development of accurate reporting tools from financial systems to assist Finance and Operating departments in data analysis.
+ Drives communication and meetings with relevant teams for timely issue identification, resolution, and communication to management.
+ Provides training and support to relevant teams while supporting the Core Values and communicating timely to management.
+ Continues to enhance Operations departments understanding of how their activities / transactions affect the financial results of the Company, by providing explanations, analysis and tools conveyed in non-finance terms.
+ Establishes/ monitors department and department staff priorities.
+ Responds to and assists with staff questions, problems and work-related issues promptly, and provides training where necessary.
+ Prepares/reviews performance evaluations, manages performance issues, provides feedback and recognizes employee contributions.
+ Represents / Serves as a model Consummate Host as defined in Core Values. Coaches staff on using the Core Values and promoting them when servicing their customers.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of GAAP.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication.
+ Experience evaluating and improving financial processes.
+ Strong analytical skills and knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
+ CPA license preferred.
+ Preferred management experience.
+ Demonstrated ability to adapt in a flexible, fast-paced work environment.
+ The role is responsible for managing the Technical Revenue Accounting team and ensuring accurate revenue reporting.
+ The role requires analyzing complex financial data, identifying issues in revenue systems, and developing innovative solutions
+ This role significantly influences the accuracy and efficiency of revenue reporting, supports audit and management inquiries, and contributes to the development of financial tools and systems that affect multiple departments.
+ The role manages two direct reports and oversees departmental priorities, performance evaluations, and staff development. It requires leadership in cross-functional projects and mentoring staff in alignment with corporate values.
+ **This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday – Thursday)**
