Job Title: Manufacturing TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling mechanical and electrical satellite components, sub-assemblies, and integration assemblies. This role requires fabricating and processing materials into complex manufactured products and operating testing equipment and tooling. You will work in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment, ensuring lab equipment is maintained and calibrated while supporting preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble mechanical and electrical satellite components, sub-assemblies, and integration assemblies.
+ Fabricate and process materials into complex manufactured products.
+ Operate testing equipment and tooling in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment.
+ Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated.
+ Support preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
+ Identify equipment requirements and process improvements.
+ Maintain floor stock inventory.
+ Independently execute and prioritize work to meet deliverables.
+ Execute test procedures for component and system-level testing and maintenance.
+ Read, interpret, and work from engineering documentation and drawings.
+ Lead process work and review output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures.
+ Drive and develop departmental continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation.
Essential Skills
+ Systems engineering and requirements management.
+ Test requirements and execution of test procedures for component and system-level testing.
+ Experience with manufacturing electrical & RF, electro-mechanical, opto-mechanical, electro-optical final build and integration.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and drawings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 4+ years relevant high traceability manufacturing experience in aerospace/satellite manufacturing.
+ 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment with flight and/or production hardware.
+ Hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement, and inspection devices.
+ Experience with soldering, epoxy, programming, quality inspection, and testing.
+ Willingness to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
+ Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
+ IPC J-STD-001 Certification (Space Addendum).
+ IPC-A-610 Certification.
+ IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification (Space Addendum).
Work Environment
You will be working onsite in Northridge, CA, within a Cleanroom and ESD control environment. The role may require standing for long periods, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching. Shifts will vary depending on program needs, and a willingness to work overtime and weekends is necessary.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
