    $175 - $195 per hour

    Description

    The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric pulmonologist for a Time-As-Reported (TAR) appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics. This faculty member will contribute to inpatient and outpatient clinical care within the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and support the Division's efforts to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children with complex pulmonary conditions.

     

    This position is ideal for a physician seeking a flexible, part-time clinical role without full-time academic or administrative responsibilities.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide coverage for up to two weeks per year as an attending physician

    • Conduct three outpatient pulmonary clinics per service week (each scheduled in 4-hour blocks)

    • Offer inpatient consultation services for hospitalized pediatric patients

    • Perform flexible bronchoscopies, as clinically indicated

    • Interpret outpatient pulmonary function tests and overnight oximetry studies

    • Provide after-hours call coverage (4:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.) for pediatric pulmonology outpatients during service weeks

    • Participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents, and fellows, consistent with department expectations

    Qualifications

    • **MD or DO** degree

    • Board-certified or board-eligible in **Pediatric Pulmonology** by the American Board of Pediatrics

    • Board certification in **General Pediatrics**

    • Eligible for **New York State medical licensure**

    • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care

    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

    • Experience with flexible bronchoscopy and interpretation of pulmonary function testing preferred

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Must meet University and hospital credentialing requirements, including successful completion of health screening, background checks, and payer enrollment
