    Responsibilities

    The **Inpatient Malignant Hematology/Cellular Therapy Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Lead** at **Mayo Clinic Florida** offers a unique and impactful leadership opportunity within one of the nation’s most advanced hematologic malignancy and cellular therapy programs. This role supports a dynamic, high-acuity inpatient practice that includes **bone marrow transplantation, CAR-T cell therapy, and complex malignant hematology care** , all delivered in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

     

    As the APP Lead, you will help shape clinical operations, drive quality initiatives, mentor a team of skilled APPs, and contribute to innovations in inpatient care.

     

    You’ll be part of a nationally recognized program delivering cutting-edge, top-of-the-pyramid care at an institution known for clinical excellence, collaboration, and a strong commitment to professional growth.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Team Leadership & Communication

    + Lead monthly team and night shift meetings

    + Conduct regular 1:1s with APP team members

    + Represent the inpatient APP team in institutional meetings

    + Performance Management & Development

    + Complete annual and mid-year evaluations

    + Provide coaching and feedback

    + Address and resolve performance or interpersonal concerns

    + Clinical Oversight

    + Monitor documentation and order review practices

    + Manage EMR access and clinical tools

    + Scheduling & Staffing

    + Maintain master schedule and ensure equitable shift distribution

    + Approve PTO and timecards

    + Support hiring, onboarding, and FTE planning

    + Institutional Representation

    + Attend division, steering committee, and operations meetings

    + Collaborate with outpatient APP leads and enterprise leadership

    Qualifications

    _New Grads will not be considered at this time, Minimum of 3 years of inpatient clinical experience (hematology/oncology preferred)_

     

    **Nurse Practitioner:** Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP.

    **Physician Assistant:** Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.

    Additional Qualifications:

    + Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required

    + Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

    + Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

    + Demonstrated commitment to team development and patient-centered care
