    The Opportunity: Master Scheduler

    Your Role: The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and prioritizing shop floor sheet metal schedules. In this role, you will create and maintain a Master Production Schedule (MPS) for the sheet metal division.

     

    Reports To: Senior Planning Manager with dotted-line to Fabrication Director

    What We’re Looking For:

    + Lead/attend weekly meetings, or more frequently when needed, with Manufacturing Operations, Logistics and Shop Floor management to establish production targets. Must be comfortable communicating across large groups, multiple times a day.

    + Support program needs on part tracking, up-to-date schedules and easy access to a Master Schedule.  Develop and maintain accurate delivery dates.

    + Be a primary problem solver in eliminating the current spreadsheets and driving the schedule through CSI.

    + As needed, publish key performance indicators and utilize data mining to support business analysis.

    + Performs what-if scenarios to prepare and understand worse case situations.

    + Evaluates and communicates plan changes and the impact to relevant employees and managers.

    + Aid in capacity planning and analysis.

    + Operates with little guidance day-to-day.

    + 5+ years of scheduling experience (product, not transactional)

    + Ability to work in a time-conscious and effective manner.

    + Strong to expert experience with Project Management software (preferably MS Project).

    + Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Processing a high volume of information in short periods of time is essential.

    + Ability to operate with little hands-on guidance day to day.
