Our client, well-known garment maintenance company, is seeking an Experienced Commercial Seamstress to join their team. As a Seamstress, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting high-quality garment alterations and custom fittings. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively, aligning successfully within the organization.

**Job Title:** Experienced Commercial Seamstress

**Location:** Newburgh, NY

**Pay Range:** $17 - $18

**Shift:** 7 AM - 6 PM (Monday to Saturday)

What's the Job?

+ Perform alterations on garments including hemming, resizing, tapering, and repairing.

+ Read and interpret alteration instructions and customer requests.

+ Operate industrial sewing machines, sergers, and other tailoring equipment.

+ Inspect garments for defects and determine appropriate repair or alteration methods.

+ Maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring client satisfaction.

What's Needed?

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in garment alterations or tailoring.

+ Proficiency in using commercial sewing equipment.

+ Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and alteration techniques.

+ Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

+ Good communication and customer service skills.
