The Cost Accounting Manager is a hands-on role with a key focus on managing cost accounting activities. In this position, you’ll be responsible for analyzing cost structures, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring the integrity of financial data related to costs. This role does not include direct report management but will offer an exciting chance to make a direct impact within the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Perform detailed cost analysis and variance reporting to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
+ Maintain and manage cost accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop standard costs and budgets.
+ Prepare cost reports and summaries for leadership to support strategic decision-making.
+ Monitor inventory valuation, manufacturing costs, and overhead allocations.
+ Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
Compensation & Benefits:
+ Salary: $120,000/year
+ Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
• Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably within manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of pricing analysis, inventory reconciliation, and finished goods accounting.
• Proficiency in Oracle or similar financial management systems.
• Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to financial reporting.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and present findings.
• Familiarity with food manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced and evolving industry demands.
