Description

Our firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mass Tort Paralegal to join our team in Minneapolis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of litigation procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files in a client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

+ Manage and organize case files, including pleadings, discovery, and medical records.

+ Communicate with clients, medical providers, and other parties involved in the litigation process.

+ Draft and prepare legal documents, including correspondence, discovery requests and responses, and trial exhibits.

+ Review, analyze, and summarize medical records and other case-related documents.

+ Assist attorneys with case preparation, including preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.

+ Maintain case calendars and track deadlines.

+ Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case development.

+ Coordinate with experts and consultants.

+ Assist with the administration of mass tort cases, including coordinating with co-counsel and participating in multi-district litigation (MDL) proceedings.

+ Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in mass tort litigation.

+ Strong understanding of legal terminology, principles, and procedures related to civil litigation and mass torts.

+ Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.

+ Experience with case management software.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and medical records
