Responsibilities

Position Purpose: The Supervisor of Clinical Operations assumes responsibility of assigned department and assumes some responsibility of the CEO in his/her absence.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

+ Assumes a leadership role in the provision of care for patients receiving services within the unit

+ Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position

+ Supervises the smooth functioning of the unit including oversight of daily staffing

+ Monitor that necessary personnel, equipment, and supplies are available

+ Communicates shift/unit issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner

+ Facilitates daily huddles within the unit

+ Demonstrates the importance of continuing education to the performance of facility

+ Maintains work area and equipment in a pristine manner

+ Demonstrates the safe operation of equipment and machinery and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation

+ Strives to be professional, courteous, helpful, and cooperative

+ Assist perioperative personnel in the evaluation of current practice through quality and performance improvement activities

+ Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team and other stakeholders

+ Participate in interviews for perioperative personnel selection

+ Oversee new teammate orientation to assigned unit

+ Participate in quality review including RCA’s and performance improvement projects

+ Assist in evaluating perioperative personnel performance and partner with CEO in the performance appraisal process

+ Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to team

+ Use problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to foster effective work relationships

+ Maintain required competencies

+ Act as a patient advocate and maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information

+ Comply with all SCA and facility policies and procedures

+ Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and daily safety huddles

+ Demonstrate fiscal responsibility

+ Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

+ Current RN State License or Surgical Tech Certification in good standing

+ Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.

+ Minimum education requirement of HS Diploma or GED

+ One year of Nursing or Surgical Tech experience preferred.
