Senior Strategy Manager

Zurich North America is currently looking for a Senior Strategy Manager for our Strategy team in Chicago/Schaumburg. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving the strategy process for ZNA, operationalizing our strategic priorities, leading innovation initiatives and enhancing our business development opportunities. You will collaborate with our Business leaders on a wide variety of projects.

This is a critical role and requires strong stakeholder and influence management, excellent communication and team management/interpersonal skills, and experience navigating through a complex organization. The successful candidate must be able to build strong working relationships with both Internal and External Stakeholders and take a holistic approach to identify and address short and long-term business opportunities, develop, and execute on those solutions.

Key accountabilities include:

+ Being a thought partner with the business and working with the executive leaders across business units to identify strategic priorities

+ Leading teams of problem solvers, simplifying and solving the most complex challenges facing Zurich North America and taking solutions from idea inception to implementation

+ Challenging traditional ways of thinking, inviting leaders and teams to look at problems from a variety of perspectives and develop innovative, and forward thinking solutions

+ Managing and developing cross-functional teams

+ Facilitating the preparation of materials for key external presentations and internal business discussions

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of experience in Strategy / Management consulting or similar roles

+ AND

+ 5 or more years of Project Manager level experience

+ Strong understanding of the Commercial Insurance Industry

+ Experience in working closely with C-suite on strategically relevant topics

+ Experience in managing and developing teams

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Strong Insurance Industry experience, forward thinking with the ability to identify trends within the industry

+ Great people manager

+ Ability to work in an ambiguous, dynamic, fast-paced environment.

+ Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and advanced spreadsheet/database skills

+ Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills with the ability to adjust messages to varying levels of audience

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education.

The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $149,500 -$244,900, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 25%.
