A journalist, a communicator, and someone who knows how to have some fun. That’s what we’re looking for in our next Morning News Anchor. Can you ad lib breaking news of the day then switch to a medical interview on set and finally learn how to play the kazoo to end your day? If so, you could be our next Morning News Anchor. We are looking for someone to join a tight-knit team of anchors, reporters and producers; someone who is authentic and can switch gears at a moment’s notice. If you’re ready for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Anchor morning newscasts, delivering news stories and breaking news with clarity and professionalism.

+ Collaborate with producers to develop show rundowns and ensure editorial consistency.

+ Write and edit news scripts, teases, and headlines.

+ Conduct live interviews and field reporting as needed.

+ Engage with viewers through social media and station platforms.

+ Represent the station at community events and promotional appearances.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.

+ Minimum 4 years of on-air anchoring or reporting experience.

+ Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

+ Comfortable with live, unscripted situations and breaking news.

+ Familiarity with newsroom software and digital content creation.

+ Professional appearance and demeanor.
