Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Clinical Informatics (DCI) is responsible for the facilitation and leadership of facility Clinical Informatics by leading the implementation of and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility projects related to clinical informatics, including:

+ standardization

+ utilization

+ integration

+ optimization

The DCI is responsible for developing, coordinating, supporting, and completing workflow mapping, project advancements, resources, and implementation focused on clinical informatics initiatives. This includes (but is not limited to) computerized provider order entry (CPOE) and documentation, Meaningful Use and other technology that supports clinician workflow, Clinical Excellence scorecard, and publicly reported data such as Leapfrog. The DCI will participate in the community of clinical informatics by working with division and facility leadership to ensure clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Registered Nurse license required

+ Bachelor's Degree in nursing required.

+ Master's Degree preferred, ideally with a focus on Health Informatics.

+ Minimum 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting

+ Minimum two years of experience in Clinical/Healthcare Informatics, Clinical applications support, or equivalent preferred

+ BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred

+ Meditech experience is strongly preferred

+ Management experience preferred
