Overview

Role: Custodial Manager-In-Training

Pay Rate: $50-60k/year

Hours: Needs to be flexible on shift

Responsibilities

+ Learn and perform job assignments of day porter, custodian, and floor technician while teaching others to operate various industrial cleaning and laundry equipment.

+ Lead small groups of staff in cleaning and laundry tasks across varying shifts.

+ Acquire knowledge of policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements to eventually manage custodial and floor care staff at a single site.

+ Develop skills in payroll submission, staffing patterns, coaching, discipline, purchasing, and budgeting.

+ Assist in staff training, quality control, and in-servicing.

+ Utilize protective gear appropriately and maintain a professional demeanor.

+ Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.

+ 2 years of experience in environmental services within a healthcare or school setting with supervisory experience desired.

+ Basic computer skills preferred.

+ Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and/or customers.

+ Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds and work around cleaning products.

+ Must be able to work around cleaning products.

+ Must provide a criminal background check.

+ Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
