    At Barts Electric our people are the most important resource. We-re looking for a highly skilled Project Assistant to join our team In Liberty, MO. Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and ready to support dynamic construction projects from the ground up? We-re seeking a motivated Project Assistant to join our commercial construction team. In this role, you-ll play a key part in coordinating project documentation, communicating with Project Managers and Foreman and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on-site and in the office.     POSITION SUMMARY

    The Project Assistant plays a vital role in supporting project managers and field teams throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position is responsible for coordinating project documentation, maintaining schedules, tracking progress, and facilitating communication between internal teams, suppliers, and vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role ensures that projects run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and client expectations.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Compile and format submittals in coordination with the Project Managers

     

    - Request close-out documents and assist in preparation of Operation & Maintenance Manuals

     

    - File, track, and log safety logs, daily logs, budgets, and weekly planning forms

     

    - Conduct initial pricing for change orders for approval by the Project Manager

     

    - Track change orders, RFIs, and Submittals through the course of the project

     

    - Update meeting schedules & active job lists

     

    - Secure permits and assist in licensing requirements for projects

     

    - Make travel arrangements and complete expense reports for team members

     

    - Assist in monitoring labor rates and hours

     

    - Assist with communication between subcontractors, vendors and customers as required

     

    - Attend weekly Foremen meetings as required

     

    - File project documents (hard and soft copies)

     

    - Other duties as assigned

    PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES

    - Relationships with staff, operations personnel, vendors and suppliers.

     

    - Resolution of problems affecting production schedules.

     

    - Resolution of complaints and grievances with vendors and suppliers.

     

    - Accuracy of work

     

    - Conformance to procurement policies and procedures

     

    - Attainment of established goals and objectives by manager

     

    - Timely completion of tasks and assignments.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    1. Education / Technical High School Diploma or Equivalent

    2. Experience / Skills

     

    - Thorough familiarity with M.S. Word and Excel (Required)

     

    - Effective verbal and written communication skills (Required)

     

    - Exceptional multi-tasking and follow through skills (Required)

     

    - Experience in construction office support (Preferred)

     

    - Familiarity with M.S. Project (Preferred)
