We’re currently seeking a passionate and qualified SpecialEducation Teacher to join a supportive team in Indianapolis forthe upcoming school year. This position includes a Life Skillsclassroom opening, serving students in grades K–5, with aprimary focus on K–3 learners.

Responsibilities:

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of theSpecial Education Program Administrator, provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. This includes:

+ Delivering specialized instruction in Life Skills for K–5 students

+ Collaborating with general education staff

+ Providing tutorial assistance and consultation

+ Participating in IEP development and implementation

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

+ Minimum of one year experience in a teaching environment (preferred)

+ State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

+ Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
