    Responsibilities

    The Department of Medical and Surgical Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is accepting applications for a 1- year paid research fellowship position. Candidates should be medical doctors who have completed OBGYN residency / postgraduate training at their local institution/country. Requirements of the fellowship include initiation and completion of hypothesis-driven research, submission of peer-reviewed publications, and presentation at national conferences. A final written and oral thesis presentation is required for the successful completion of the fellowship. Fellowship in-person attendance July/August 2026 - June/July 2027. Current specialties and research interests of the department include gynecologic oncology, minimally invasive gynecology surgery/endometriosis, and urogynecology. The department currently consists of 6 GYN surgeons, 2 medical gynecologists, and 4 minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) fellows, who will serve as the collaborative research partners and colleagues for the research fellow.     Qualifications

    The following is required for the completeness of the application:

    + Must have a M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Proof of doctoral degree (copy of a diploma or final transcript with English translation, if applicable)

    + Candidates have completed OBGYN residency/postgraduate training

    + Current curriculum vitae with bibliography

    + Please also be prepared that you may be asked to provide three letters of recommendation to the hiring PI prior to an interview. The interview will be arranged in January and February 2026.
