    Job Description

    Substitute for teacher aides, monitors, and clerical staff.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Work collaboratively with classroom teachers

    + Flexibility to work with students and adults in different classrooms

    + Take initiative

    + Help teacher prepare and set up

    + Reinforce lessons and provide students assistance

    + Enforce classroom rules

    + Enforce school rules outside the classroom, which may include bus duty and cafeteria duty

    + Help to meet the needs of all students

    + Work in several classrooms throughout the day

    + Other responsibilities as directed by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.

    Qualifications:

    + Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.

    + Ability to work well with children and adults.

    + Patience.

    + Dependability.

     

    ~ Sub Aides and Monitors must have at least 1 year of experience working with children.

     

    ~ Sub Clerical must have taken a typing or keyboarding course. (This can be a course that was taken in high school)

    SUBSTITUTE ORIENTATION:

    Before being added to the Substitute Teacher Aide list, you must complete all paperwork and view an online orientation. You will also recieve an email with a link for the online orientation.

    Pay rates:

    Sub Aide, Monitor: $16.75/hour

     

    Clerical: $17.25/hour
