The Velocity Americas Content Lead AVP is responsible for delivering insightful market analysis and content to clients, collaborating closely with Sales and Trading teams. The primary goal is to increase client engagement with tradeable opportunities across various asset classes through compelling content.

As part of the global Velocity Content team, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering an industry-leading content offering for Citi Velocity. This function is crucial for enhancing our client value proposition and empowering our trading teams with cutting-edge market insights for effective risk management.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of financial markets, particularly FX or Rates products, combined with exceptional writing skills. This could be a journalist with a financial background, a trader/salesperson/strategist with proven writing abilities, or a candidate with an exceptional educational background applicable to this role.

Responsibilities:

Client Content Delivery

+ Deliver high-frequency, macro-focused written content on global financial markets, with a preferred background in Rates and/or FX products (other asset classes welcome).

+ Respond to unique content requests from internal and client users daily.

+ Collaborate with sales and trading teams on client content campaigns related to market events and Citi's trading products.

+ Integrate data-driven storytelling into macro content, linking platform offerings with global macro trading events.

+ Co-produce content across video and livestream formats within the Velocity Markets Content Team.

+ Occasionally cover major market events outside of normal working hours or on weekends.

Content Product

+ Coordinate daily with Citi Technology, product business teams, Compliance, and the broader Velocity Organization.

+ Maintain accurate records of content distribution and product development.

+ Collaborate with partners to define performance metrics for senior management and stakeholders.

+ Conduct research to evaluate performance, identify new strategies for content products, and provide internal product feedback.

Risk & Control

+ Obtain and maintain all necessary registrations/licenses within the required timeframe.

+ Implement and maintain strong governance and control infrastructure for the content product.

+ Work closely with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Market & Credit Risk, Audit, Finance).

+ Adhere to all applicable policies and procedures, including Citi's Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of experience in a related role

+ Strong written content skills; experience in multimedia content is a plus

+ Ability to tell compelling stories with data

+ Solid knowledge of financial products: FX and Rates preferred

+ Attention to detail and accuracy

+ Proven ability to meet deadlines

+ Proven ability to work with/in cross functional teams

+ Ability to work within a global team; high virtual connectivity

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

+ Journalism experience preferred

+ Bloomberg experience preferred
