Kratos is seeking a Sr. Director that will be responsible for directing activities for the Space Domain Awareness / Space Superiority mission area and the programs, projects, and initiatives within the mission area. The qualified candidate will oversee and control the activities of this mission area and have overall operational responsibility for the assigned functions and interacts with functional peers within the larger business unit. This position is weighted/preferred for internal candidates.

The ideal candidate will have experience with these duties and responsibilities:

+ Sets vision and direction through resource allocation decisions for mission area

+ Develops mission area and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation

+ Provides vision and direction to Directors / Managers in mission area and operations

+ Recognized as an influential leader within and outside the organization

+ Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across mission area

+ Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates core issues, providing strategy and direction for mission area

+ Requires in-depth knowledge of the function, business strategies, and the company’s goals as well as external factors affecting the mission area

+ Interacts internally and externally with senior management, consultants and customers, requiring negotiation skills over critical matters

+ Support strategic business development activities through engagement with Business Development organization to shape and win long term opportunities

+ Support Product Development initiatives related to mission area through engagement with Product Management team and customer interaction

Required Experience:

+ 10+ years of operational experience running US government programs in excess of $100M

+ 5+ years of Kratos execution responsibility at the business-unit level with programs / projects at various USG classification levels

+ Active TS/SCI security clearance with SAP responsibilities

+ Bachelor’s degree required

+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills

+ Excellent writing and speaking/presentation skills

+ Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education Salary Range: $200,000-$240,000 plus bonus eligibility
