    TITLE: Deposit Operations Specialist

     

    REPORTS TO: Vice President – Deposit Operations

     

    CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non Exempt

     

    PAY GRADE: NE 25 ($18.00 - $27.97 per hour)

     

    AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

    Position Summary:

    The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for managing daily tasks independently while collaborating as a team to provide support when needed. They work together to oversee all functions within Pioneer’s Deposit Operations area. Through cross-training, they help maintain an efficient workflow, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and Pioneer standards. Specialists also provide operational support to the Retail Branch Network and other areas of the Pioneer.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + The specialist ensures that all day-to-day operational functions are performed in a timely manner, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the deposit operations team.

    + Performs all required functions/tasks in accordance with regulatory compliance guidelines under the Deposit Operations Support Manager and Deposit Operations Officer, focusing on verification of proper account documentation and workflows. These functions/tasks include but are not limited to:

    + Review maintenance reports with appropriate sign offs

    + Processing OTE and ATE Transactions

    + ACH processing

    + Change of Address Verification/Review

    + Assist with various Wire processing (Incoming and Outgoing Wires)

    + Debit Card review

    + Balancing of branch cash and ATM settlement

    + Returned Mail processing

    + Activation of dormant accounts

    + New & Closed Account Review

    + Online Banking Registration

    + Account Type Changes Check and ACH Stop Payment reviews

    + Reg E- Opt In review

    + Reclamations

    + Negative Balance/ODP Account Review

    + Prepare Quality Control Review sheets for closed Consumer Loans (Mortgage, Home Equity, Personal, ODLOC).

    + Assist with Quality Control Reviews of Fresh Start Repayment Plans.

    + Provide support to retail and business partners through multiple channels, including phone, email, and Salesforce cases.

    + Perform day to day administrative duties such as, maintaining files, scanning documents, working from spreadsheets, etc.

    + Create/Update/Maintain procedures for assigned tasks to ensure regulatory compliance

    + Identify efficiencies within the assigned tasks and across departmental tasks.

    + Crosstrain on other departmental tasks within Deposit Operations.

    + Maintain knowledge of deposit banking functions, regulatory requirements, along with performing the due diligence needed to ensure complete and accurate system processing.

    + Additional duties as assigned, including assisting with annual and periodic audits.

    Education & Experience:

    + Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred

    + Minimum 3 years of experience in Deposit Operations, Retail and/or Customer Service experience required, preferably in the Banking Industry.

    + Proficiency with MS Office, internet software and capacity to learn banking computer systems is essential.
