Description

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. In this role, you will oversee tax compliance processes, provide guidance to entry-level staff, and collaborate closely with clients to ensure accurate tax filings and financial records. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Oversee the preparation and review of tax extensions and first draft estimates for federal and state income tax payments.

• Assist in the creation and review of detailed tax accounting records.

• Support business clients by managing bookkeeping tasks, including data entry for checks and deposits, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Process annual Form 1099 filings for client accounts.

• Draft and review response letters to tax authorities addressing client inquiries.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the year.

• Supervise, train, and mentor entry-level team members to foster growth and attention to detail.

• Apply comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices to daily operations.

• Proficiency in preparing annual income tax provisions and corporate tax returns.

• Strong understanding of entity formation and related processes.

• Prior supervisory experience, with a focus on mentoring and developing team members.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Finance or Accounting), CPA/EA/ProAdvisor a plus

+ Minimum 3 years public accounting experience

+ Experience with CCH ProSystem and MS Office preferred
