Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kaua‘i community with accessible quality health care. The largest medical center on Kaua‘i, it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs, including cardiology, emergency, family practice, gastroenterology, health management, internal medicine, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. Its 18-bed emergency department serves as the island’s Primary Stroke Center. The medical center also has four birthing suites, seven intensive care beds and 20 same-day surgery beds. Wilcox is the first American College of Surgeons-verified Level III Trauma Center in the state of Hawai‘i. Wilcox is part of Hawai‘i Pacific Health, one of the state’s leading health care systems and a not-for-profit health care organization with medical centers, clinics, physicians and other caregivers working together to create a healthier Hawai‘i.
Patient Services Administration supports the hospital/clinic leadership and is responsible for assigned areas within our flagship Clinical Service Line operations. These areas may include quality and financial performance, marketing strategies, human resource planning, medical staff relationships, and research and education initiatives. The Patient Services Administration team works closely with other health care leadership and staff within Hawai‘i Pacific Health hospitals and clinics to ensure that Clinical Service Line operations are running smoothly. They also provide staffing services for the hospitals and serve the facility with customer service, clinical competency and fiscal responsibility.
As Director, you will provide strategic direction, planning, and leadership for the Patient Services division as well as other assigned non-nursing operational areas. Ensure that Nursing Standards of Practice and Standards of Care are consistent across patient care areas within Wilcox Medical Center and meet regulatory requirements. Collaborate with hospital facility leadership to establish performance goals, and monitor the organization’s patient services and hospital functions to compliment system-wide initiatives and objectives. **Minimum Qualifications:** Must meet educational requirement for licensure as an RN in the state of Hawai‘i and possess a Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Degree in Nursing and current HI RN license. Extensive managerial experience in nursing and/or hospital operations with a strong background in assigned areas of responsibility. Strong experience and knowledge in strategic planning and community relations.
**Preferred Qualifications:** Previous health care senior managerial experience.
