    What You'll Do

     

    We’re looking for a Managing Director to join our Capital Raising team in Principal Real Estate. In this role, your core focus will be to drive institutional asset raising activities for the firm’s real estate platform with investors in the Eastern US and Canada.

     

    + Develop deep and strategic relationships with Limited Partners and investment consultants in the Eastern US and Canada

    + Drive new real estate capital efforts for fund launches

    + Provide clients, prospects, and consultants with ongoing updates about the investment philosophy, process and performance of real estate funds and platforms and act as primary contact when appropriate

    + Participate in investment strategy meetings with portfolio managers

    + Provide investor and market insights to the product development process, both new and existing

    Who You Are

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent

    + 10+ years related experience in real estate investment management, including 5+ years of real estate fundraising experience (10+ preferred)

    + Established relationships with a spectrum of institutional investors and consultants

    + Proven sales experience and pipeline development, preferably in the Eastern US and Canada.

    + Must have the ability to travel, approximating 50% of the time

    Salary Range Information

     

    Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

     

    Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

     

    $205000 - $277000 / year

     

    Time Off Program

     

    Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

    We’re open to considering remote and hybrid talent. Locations for hybrid talent include New York City, or Charlotte. Preference is to live in the Eastern US, where the majority of the investor base is.
