Job Summary and Qualifications

The Data Protection (DP) team operates within HCA Healthcare’s Information Protection & Security department. The DP team focuses on the areas of data dispositioning and information lifecycle management. This intern position will work alongside DP team members on key team objectives and learn hands-on application of data risk management, data classification, and legal hold concepts.

This internship will allow the intern to gain experience in a field in which they have interest.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess and process requests sent by HCA Healthcare colleagues to the Information Lifecycle shared mailbox.

Assist with the processing of legal hold eDiscovery, custodian management, and status reporting.

Assist with management of HCA Healthcare standard records management systems.

Participate as a team member in the dispositioning of data including, applications, acquisitions, divestitures, and terminated third parties.

Assist in the administration of HCA Healthcare-standard data governance and compliance platforms used to classify, label, and disposition unstructured data.

Assist in following up with HCA Healthcare colleagues regarding how they manage sensitive data.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION

Can be working towards a Bachelor's Degree

EXPERIENCE

Less than 1 year of experience - Preferred

Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience could be considered

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Required
