With a commitment to fostering talent and developing leaders within our organization, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Leadership Academies & Development to join our dynamic Human Resources team.

    Job Summary:

    As the Manager, Leadership Academies & Development, you will play a pivotal role in building leadership excellence within our retail organization. You will design and deliver -- ‘master facilitator’ -- our various Leadership Academies and act as a leadership coach who empowers our associates to reach their full potential. Your efforts will be instrumental in shaping the future leaders of Dollar Tree by cultivating a strong talent pipeline and ensuring that our leaders have the skills and knowledge necessary to drive sustainable growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Leadership Development: Design and deliver our leadership and executive leadership development programs, ensuring that our content is tailored to the specific needs of our retail leaders. These programs may include Academies, high-potential programs, leadership training, mentorship programs, and more. Create and maintain training resources, including materials, guides, and online resources.

    2. Organizational Development: Champion change management efforts to successfully implement strategic initiatives. Lead and support initiatives aimed at improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

    3. Assessment and Evaluation: Collaborate with HR and business leaders to assess leadership training needs and skill gaps among associates. Use data-driven insights to continually refine and improve leadership programs.

    4. Coaching & Mentoring: Provide individual coaching and mentorship to emerging leaders, helping them connect the dots and develop their leadership ability.

    5. Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with our retail, cross-functional and executive teams to ensure alignment between leadership development initiatives and organizational goals. Establish strong trust amongst participants and provide data-based objective feedback to build individual skills and improve their contribution to the business.

    6. Metrics and Budget Management: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of leadership and organizational development programs. Regularly assess program outcomes and adjust content as needed to achieve desired results. Manage the budget for leadership programs, ensuring cost-effective delivery.

    7. Measurement and Reporting: Provide participants, supervisor and senior leaders with regular updates and progress reports to ensure communicating individual growth and measurable impact of programs.

    8. Continuous Learning: Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in leadership development to keep our programs leading-edge.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, learning & development, business, or a related field or equivalent business experience. Must have experience in retail or similar industry.

    • Proven experience (3+ years) in designing and implementing training and/or leadership development programs.

    • Knowledge of leadership development theories, models, and best practices.

    • Understanding of leadership competencies, talent assessment, and succession planning.

    • Must serves as a role model for our Values.

    • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.

    • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

    • Data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to analyze and interpret program metrics.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

    • Strong change management expertise and experience driving cultural transformation.

    • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

    • Certification in leadership development or related fields (e.g., CPLP, CPTD) is a plus.
