Job TitleAssembly Equipment Operator

Job OverviewThe primary responsibility of the Assembly Equipment Operator is to put-away built/unbuilt assembly product to the proper location, pick product to be assembled and pick chairs to be shipped. Other responsibilities include:

+ Count received product to verify inventory accuracy.

+ Identify space needs and make appropriate adjustments such as double stack pallets of product to save space using a pallet stacker.

+ Relocate staged material to proper locations.

+ Use RF scanner to make inventory movement entries.

+ Pick product for Cross Dock deliveries.

+ Document picked product for assembly stats by builder.

+ Audit locations for inventory accuracy.

+ Maintain proper appearance of assembly room including:

+ Pallets: Sorted and stacked neatly and safely

+ Inspect and maintain electric pallet jacks and pallet stackers

+ Observe all the safety requirements of Bob’s Discount Furniture

+ All other duties as assigned.

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Knowledge and ability to utilize an RF scanner

+ Ability to safely and effectively utilize various equipment such as forklift, cherry picker, etc.

+ Starting hourly pay at $18.00 - $20.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Minimum Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere.

+ Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Solid knowledge and competence on RF scanner.

+ Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob’s.

Physical Demands

+ Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.

+ Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.

+ Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations

+ Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.

+ Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90%

+ Sitting: 5%

+ Desk or phone work: 5%
