    General Requirements:

    Ph.D. or an equivalent doctoral degree in any discipline of Public Health, Neuroscience, Psychology, Public Administration or Health Sciences. Two years of experience in research or teaching or grant writing in public health or health sciences will be required. Preference will be given to the candidates who have a combination of education, experience, and training in one or more of the public health administration and/or biomedical science disciplines mentioned above that would produce the required knowledge and abilities.

    Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

    Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), performs specific duties pertaining to research activities, special projects, and/or educational programs. This is advanced professional work which may require the development of new or improved techniques and procedures with latitude for independent action and decision.

    Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):

    Performs research and administrative activities for a National Institute of Health ( NIH )-funded study and relevant research projects in the field of environmental and neuro epidemiology under the supervision of the PI. Prepares research results for publication reports, papers, journals, and books. Performs data entry and statistical analyses. Prepares annual reports for NIH , seminar presentations, talks, or lectures for dissemination of knowledge, particularly the results of research undertaken. Coordinates field work for research projects and capacity building activities including a 5-6 weeklong summer research program on neuro-epidemiology. Works in collaboration with the PI on grant proposal development in areas relevant to the ongoing NIH -funded study. Performs other related duties as assigned.
