Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Stryker is seeking to hire a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing/Operations to support the manufacturing of Neurovascular products in Salt Lake City, Utah.
What you will do:
+ Define & implement specific solutions to technical problems, completing the tasks associated with such projects and writing reports that clearly document the results
+ Validation work including writing and executing validations
+ Resolve in-house and supplier quality problems using established problem-solving methodologies
+ Participate in the development and improvement of the manufacturing process for existing and new products
+ Review & approve inspection plans, routers and product drawings
+ Facilitate quality remediation, gap closure through partnership with cell Quality Engineers
+ Support initiating and closure of non-conformance and corrective and action preventative actions
+ Support projects, bringing in capital equipment for new manufacturing lines and upgrades to existing lines
+ Work cross functionally with teams for projects and initiatives including lean manufacturing, added capacity and new product launches
+ Provide technical support for quality control, process improvement, cost savings, process development projects, new product launches, equipment qualifications, and process validations
+ Operate within Stryker’s quality system to produce documentation such as, inspection plans, equipment maintenance logs and standard operating procedures
+ Support continuous improvement efforts by performing time studies, value stream analysis, flow analysis and other lean related tasks
+ Make proposals/recommendations in support of the team to help achieve team goals in quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale
+ Periodically work with vendors
What you need:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
+ A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a production/manufacturing environment required
+ Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred
+ Previous manufacturing Co-Op experience- preferred
+ Experience in regulated manufacturing environment- preferred
