    Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

     

    Type: Direct Hire

     

    Compensation: $85000 - $110000 annually

     

    Contractor Work Model: Onsite

     

    Hours: Monday-Friday during normal business hours, some evenings and weekends may be necessary as needed

     

    System One is partnering with a dynamic team seeking a Senior Systems Engineer. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of the organization's infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing solutions that support systems and enhance the overall functionality of the server and workstation hardware and software systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain robust Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, ensuring their optimization and performance to support critical healthcare applications.

    + VMware Management: Administer and optimize VMware virtualization infrastructures, including vSphere environments and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).

    + Project Leadership: Lead complex projects, serving as a key escalation point for intricate incidents, and collaborate with stakeholders to align infrastructure with business objectives.

    + Automation & Process Improvement: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, PowerShell, and shell scripting. Manage version control with GitHub and create Ansible playbooks for efficient deployment processes.

    Qualifications:

    + Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience (10 years of enterprise-level experience) may be considered in lieu of a degree.

    + Certifications:

    + Required:

    + Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

    + VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher

    + Preferred:

    + VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) certification

    + Red Hat Certified Specialist certifications

    + ITIL Foundation or higher

    + Experience:

    + Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with at least 3 years in large network server and workstation support.

    + Demonstrated experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and VMware vSphere.

    + Specific experience supporting healthcare EMR systems on Linux platforms.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Expert understanding of enterprise-level Red Hat Linux administration, including system hardening and performance tuning.

    + Advanced knowledge in VMware technologies, specifically within VCF environments.

    + Proficiency in automation and DevOps tools, with a focus on Ansible, Git, and PowerShell.

    + Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of troubleshooting complex multi-platform issues.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a knack for documentation.
