We are hiring a full-time Day Habilitation Specialist in Johnston ! M-F, daytime hours, up to $18/hour! The Day Habilitation Specialist supports the skill development and retention for young adults. This team member will provide or assist with care needs and supervision in a group setting.

+ Up to $18/hour

+ Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30pm

+ Full-time, benefits eligible role

What You’ll Do

+ Provide direct care and assist assigned individuals with accessing the community and increasing independence with communication, socialization and daily living skills

+ Implement individual’s care plans and provide ongoing feedback regarding additional or changing care plan needs to child’s supervisor or Day Hab Supervisor

+ Required to become certified for medication administration, seizures, and g-tube feedings as well as other specialized trainings as identified

+ Assure timely and accurate documentation

What You’ll Need

+ Must be at least 18 years old

+ Must pass criminal and child abuse background checks

+ Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver. This includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid driver’s license and insurance

+ Must be willing to obtain your chauffeur’s license in order to drive ChildServe vehicles.

+ Good oral and written communication skills and have the ability to accurately document all observations, significant events, and services provided.

+ Education: High school diploma preferred

+ Experience: Experience working with or knowledge of children with special health care needs preferred

+ Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
