    The Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting, is a key member of our accounting team. Primary responsibilities include leading a team to account for our Revenue in compliance with US GAAP, including documentation of all applicable processes, procedures, and controls over our revenue, accounts receivable, and other areas. This team member will work directly with other teams, including the Sales, Legal, Finance, Business Operations, and Product teams to understand contracts and to ensure proper revenue recognition. This person will be responsible for actively managing the close process and developing a streamlined revenue accounting framework. We embrace continuous improvement, and we expect this manager to find ways to make us more efficient. As an integral leader in the accounting and finance organization, this person will provide leadership by managing deliverables, setting expectations, meeting deadlines, providing ongoing performance feedback, and developing goal setting.

    Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

    Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

    + Manage the close and report process for the Revenue Accounting team, including monthly reconciliations and other analyses

    + Using results to recommend and implement changes to business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

    + Key point person for internal and external audit on related areas

    + Partner with FP&A to develop revenue forecasts

    + Provide variance explanations for monthly reporting

    + Lead system implementations to automate processes

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    + Knowledge and experience with software and/or SaaS-based or subscription revenue recognition under ASC606 preferred

    + A background in understanding internal controls and operational effectiveness

    + Ability to manage revenue-related month-end close activities, including but not limited to: prepare and review journal entries, reconcile between different systems, prepare and review account reconciliations, perform recurring and ad hoc analyses

    + Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams from around the company

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting required

    + CPA required

    + Minimum 7 years’ work experience, including managerial experience

    + Public accounting experience is a plus

    + NetSuite and Salesforce experience a plus

    Additional Requirements and Details:

    + Travel required up to 10% of the time.

    + Located and working from an office location when required.

    + Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

    + Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

    + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).

    + Frequent sitting and/or standing.
