Quality Assurance & Building Envelope Inspector
**Position Summary:** This is a full-time position responsible for the on-site performance of **quality assurance functions** during the construction season and field evaluations of existing building systems during the rainy season. This role requires a professional and respectful individual who can effectively identify and communicate critical issues. The inspector will work collaboratively with other team members on field evaluations and testing, and will also handle report writing and proposal development.
Essential Functions
+ **Field Inspections & Testing:** Conduct on-site field observations, perform minor testing during system installations, and evaluate existing in-place roof and building envelope systems.
+ **Documentation:** Draft and publish comprehensive observation reports with clear recommendations.
+ **Administrative Support:** Assist with project-related administrative tasks, including proposal development.
+ **Collaboration:** Support project managers with diagnostics, design, and management functions.
+ **Technical Proficiency:** Effectively navigate and comprehend construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
+ **Communication:** Maintain a high level of professionalism and use effective verbal and written communication to publicize critical issues.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Proficiency in **Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam** .
+ A minimum of **two years of construction, roofing, or envelope-related experience** is recommended.
+ Must possess a clean driving and criminal record for security clearances and be drug-free.
Benefits & Expectations
+ **Hours:** Monday – Friday, with a core work period from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and additional hours as needed to meet salary requirements. Periodic weekend work may be required for specific projects.
+ **Promotion:** Eligible for promotion to Technical Specialist upon meeting qualifications.
+ **Benefits:** The company provides and pays for health, dental, vision, and life insurance for employees. Additional benefits include paid vacation and sick leave, 401(k), a cash balance plan, and eligibility for annual bonuses and profit sharing. A company-paid work cell phone is also provided.
**Pay Details:** $65,000.00 to $77,000.00 per year
