Southwestern Vermont Medical Center seeks a full-time Assistant Director of Patient Safety, Quality & Regulatory Accreditation.
The position provides leadership of regulatory compliance including varied program accreditations and patient safety. Focused on optimizing the organization’s compliance with regulatory accreditation requirements and the organizations quality and safety of clinical systems. Serves as a role model, mentor and resource to program staff members.The position provides leadership of regulatory compliance including varied program accreditations and patient safety. This role requires attention to detail, strong data analysis and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across all health system team members and presentation skills.
Qualifications
* A Master’s degree along with a Bachelor’s of Science degree and 5 years of related supervisory/management experience required, doctorate preferred
* Greenbelt in process improvement methods or equivalent with 5 years of experience leading improvement or system design projects
* Excellent organization, interpersonal skills, oral and writing skills are required
* Exemplary leadership qualities
* The ability to relate and deal effectively with physicians, administrators, support staff and the general public with a high degree of tact and discretion is required
* Clinical experience in a hospital setting or equivalent utilizing comprehensive knowledge of care delivery principles for specific populations
* Certification in modern improvement methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and/or Professional Project Management and/or Healthcare Quality preferred
- If incumbent is a licensed clinician, maintaining a current VT license will be required. If incumbent is not a licensed clinician, no other license is required.
