GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE** **FUNCTION
Responsible for the assistance in the oversight and administration of the high school Career and Technical Education classes and courses taught at the Rankin Campus.
Responsible for faculty recruitment, supervision and evaluation, maintenance of Career Technical Education standards, and program review and development.
Also assists in the development and implementation of college initiatives, policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR** **EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree or equivalent; and five year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and work experience in Career and Technical Education.
486 Administrator license (required)
911 Career and Technical Education Administrator endorsement (preferred)
If applicant only has the 486 Administrator license, they will be enrolled in the CTE Administrator Academy to complete requirements for the 911 endorsement.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** , include the following.
+ Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
+ Assistance in formulation of policies and procedures related to course placement.
+ General Supervision of clerical staff and secondary faculty.
+ Communication/collaboration with the Director of the Vicksburg Warren Career and Technical Center, Rankin County School District, Pearl Public School District and other community partners.
+ Coordinates with the Mississippi Department of Education to provide required information needed to be in compliance.
+ Serve on committees as assigned.
+ Administers discipline to students.
+ Provides oversight for faculty, students, and curriculum for secondary programs.
+ Coordinates with counselors and other members for the school districts.
+ Perform other duties as may be assigned by the appropriate authority.
+ Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY** **RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Supervision of clerical staff and secondary faculty.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
